Shara Feltz, Nurse Practitioner (N.P.), Nurse Manager, & Lactation Consultant
Shara Feltz, CRNP was born and raised in central Pennsylvania. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuropsychology along with minors in Natural Science, Biology, and Health Policy & Administration. After relocating to the Washington D.C. area, she completed an additional Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with an International Health certificate from Georgetown University. She worked as a nurse for several years gaining diverse pediatric experience in home healthcare, hospital, and outpatient pediatric settings. During this time she completed her Master’s degree of Nursing from George Washington University and Nurse Practitioner certification from ANCC. In 2013 she coauthored an article on preventing long term consequences of sports-related concussions in pediatric patients. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Shara’s role at THH will include providing direct medical care to patients and supervising and educating the nursing staff. She currently lives in Germantown with her husband and four children. In her free time she enjoys photography, baking, biking, watching gymnastics, and spending time with her family.
